can the Vocaloid packages directly be used as a VST instrument? I would like to use them in Plogue Bidule as instruments, without having to edit them note by note or adding text. Ideally, they would react to the midi notes that they are sent, maybe singing random vowels. There is a VSTi that does a somewhat similar thing called Humbox, from PowerFX. It comes close but it would be interesting to try the same with Vocaloid.
The short answer is NO, I don't think Vocaloid is what you are looking for.
The whole purpose of Vocaloid, is software that can sing words. It does take time, to program the words.
There are other apps you can use for random vowels, that isn't what Vocaloid is for.
Yes, it can be used directlly as a VST. However, i my experience, not well. The standalone app works better, and you can save as .wav, to import into a sequencer.
